He studied poetry with epic poet, Dr. Madison Morrison, Pulitzer Prize winner Maya Angelou, and East Indian poet, Shiv K. Kumar; and film writing with his Czech mentor, Arnost Lustig. Schulte co-wrote and co-produced a pilot for Garry Marshall, called "Four Stars" and cut his teeth filling in dialogue for "Days of Our Lives" soap opera scripts. He co-produced a teenage novel trilogy with his brother, called Time Capsule Murders. The series was completed with the release of "Dial Emma for Murder," and "Hex High School." He is the Pop Culture writer for the Los Angeles beat on examiner.com. Schulte is also a book editor, having worked on a wide range of titles, including a self-help martial arts book, "The 7 C's of Success," written by actor/martial artist, Shaunt Benjamin, and the memoir, "Diary of a Little Devil," by Edgar Award-winning nonagenarian authoress, Barbara Brooks Wallace. He is a member of the Authors Guild, a former California State Poet Laureate nominee, and an associate member of the Academy of American Poets. His poetic work and articles have appeared in sundry anthologies, literary journals, and magazines.
