I was born and raised in Houma, Louisiana. My parents had two children, which I am the oldest. My life had many obstacles, but it wouldn't have made me into the person who I am today without the struggles. Over the years I've learned the value of good things, like family. I used to not be around them much, but their support and prayers brought me back to reality. I always said, "If I can make it anybody can, and there was a reason that God saved me so many times."
My path is now focused in the medical field. I am a Registered Medical Assistant, and I am furthering my education to become a Registered Nurse. I am attending Fletcher Community College as of now, and will be switching over to Nicholls College later on. I've always been good at writing poems and stories, but I gave up my talent for a while. My last semester my teacher encouraged his class about poetry, and told us to never give it up. After he read some of my poems, he asked me if he can use them in his next semester classes as examples. He also said that my poems look as if they would be in an anthology book, and has never seen that good of work in a classroom before. I'm not a person to be conceded, but I am very happy with the things that have been happening in my life. My reasons of life are starting to show more and more each day. There will always be times of failure, but I won't allow anyone or anything to bring me down; I will always put up a fight for what I want or believe in.
