Poetry stems from creativity. As a child, I displayed my talents not through words, but through Lego bricks. Inspired by Star Wars, creating spacecraft was a part of my everyday life. Many, many ideas for the future of human space-travel whizzed through me, and each one of them were materialized with Lego parts. These moments forged the plans for my life: to become a poet or astronomer...or both. Eventually the time came for me to move on from Lego, but it was then when my love for poetry began to surge. Being introduced to haikus in elementary school, the style began to stick with me. With time, my literary and poetic skills were honed enough, allowing me to venture into deeper water through the use of various techniques. As the days went on, my poems became increasingly advanced, with some achieving much recognition and awards. Others brought change to the readers, touching their emotions and feelings. The goal of my poetry was not to gain lofty prizes, but to impact lives instead, the way Lego impacted me.
