A legacy of wildfires

What's gone wrong with the working of the world?
Why are humans today so puzzled?
Something for sure feels strange in the air,
Making us believe that we've been unfair.
We sure did need a reality check,
For overlooking, the nature being wrecked.
While we turned a blind eye to what's happening,
The pole of the North kept melting and thawing.
The climate had begun to take its course,
By trying to heal those ozone holes.
The noxious gases in our planet's lungs,
Is the fuel on which global warming runs.
While driving across the "High-tech" cities,
We had all forgotten our responsibilities.
This humanitarian catastrophe is just a consequence,
For underestimating the nature's potence.
As the torrid heat brings the end near,
Earth is crying and bleeding tears.
Our ailing planet feels furious and febrile,
Shouldn't we make our mother earth beam and smile?
Let us pledge & take a step for its conservation,
To safeguard the lives of our future generation.
Go green for the globe to take its breath again,
And stop the fiery weather from creating hurricanes !!
