I went insane the day I started talking to trees;
I wondered if they could walk,
For groceries and other routines.
So I asked for a sample: gestured by shuffling my feet.
The one that I spoke with, her name was Sophia
She said carve me to pencil and we'll go visit a river.
The trails were lonely and cold
Like they never host parties,
Like all has been lost,
Save for flashbacks and memories.
"They seldom come anymore,
Only with the sun and to borrow for fire,
As if to burn the lingering pleas from our mother."
