Angel to the Rescue

How do I tell you from my point of view
How you helped me to face life anew
Sadness clouded my way, what was life all about

I just wanted out, from across the room
I could hear a voice of an angel, reaching my ears
Calling on you now, to my surprise he was talking to me

Who are you, do you know me, I'm free to choose my own destiny
Softly I could hear his last words that helped me through
Honestly I believe in you, do you trust in me

Feeling warm and safe inside, I looked up as a shadow went by
The angel Micheal's voice giving the answer that I needed to hear,
Life is worth living, time heals all wounds

Be happy and free you have God's love always to be

This Poems Story

I became interested in poetry after reading Leonard Nimoy's book of poems Come Be with Me. I'm a widow with four cats and two college degrees. I have two grandchildren, a daughter, and son-in-law. I've written several poems in honor of my deceased son. My style of writing is on all topics and ideas. I've been writing since 1986. "Angel to the Rescue" came to me, knowing people are looking for answers when in despair. I look forward to publishing a book of all my poems in the future.
