Beautiful Girl

She is the rising sun
The morning after a stormy night
Something you thought would never be so beautiful
The one that makes you get up at 5 am to watch
The sun gracefully rise over the water
Waking the world up
Keeping everyone at peace for a moment
Oh this beautiful girl
The smell of daisies and chanel perfume
Long brown locks flowing behind her
As she sways in front of me
She runs off everyday
Worried that she will be late
I run to catch up to her
Because she has taught me more about friendship than my dreams
She tells me all of her secrets in a laugh
And shares all of her treasures with me every morning
She has hidden the knives thrown at me
Locked them away
Wrapped my wounds in a silk scarf, allowing me to remain polished
Her lustrous hazel eyes beam with the sun
We dance around the kitchen and sing louder than the music
We know that we have found light in this dark world
Oh this beautiful girl
Has taught me the art of harmony
With just a single smile
