City lights


I thought I belong to the mountains,
But then they turned into rocks;
I thought I belong to a place
full of waterfalls,
Then that turned into a desert,
without a hope;
I thought I belong to a treehouse
In the woods,
Then it got broken,
Along with the trees it was lying on;
I thought I belong to the sea shores,
Then it brought the tsunami in my home;
Just When I started thinking
I belong to nowhere anymore
Noises started filling my thoughts
I turned and saw
The city lights
Lighting a whole life ahead
To live for
I thought I only belong to
A quite place
But then life was never meant
To be that way
I spotted a house
In that crowd
Suddenly city lights
Made it Look like
My home....
