Come Back Rain

Come back rain,
Don’t leave me now,
Alone to parse the why and how.
Sun’s piercing rays would just obscure
The muddled truth, so dark and pure.

Come back rain,
I can’t pretend
That I foresee a sunny end.
Such cheerful sun makes one forget,
And I don’t want to laugh,
Not yet.

Come back rain,
Don’t leave me here,
With sunshine shining on my tears.
Sunlight highlights all my pain;
It doesn’t feel,
No,
It doesn’t heal me
like the rain.
