Dagaaba Vibes

By Trace    Avatar

Bɛguonɛ blood flows through me,
A constant reminder of the village that made me.
The beating of the drums,
The stomping of their eager feet,
They can all be seen,
In the iris of my eye.

Peel my skin back,
You’ll see Nandom looking up.
The looks of wise men,
The smiles of innocent children,
The laughs of the working women,
Your soul will warm up,
To the dagaaba vibes.

Bɛguonɛ blood is in me.
Don’t you forget the village that made me.
The pounding of the xylophone,
The claps of the chaps,
They can all be seen,
In the iris of my eye.

Deep inside,
Dagaaba vibes reside.
