Familiar Heart

Walking down the busy sidewalk,
it is as dim as Brooklyn.

Golden like the sun,
seconds before my eyes spot yours.

Fixated on you, the faster, stronger
beats my heart.

I'm waiting for the rain to drizzle lightly
out of the blue.

Daydreaming, I grow mindful that I am passing
by you.

Your presence, so alluring I utter to speak.

Grab my hand,

become a part of my destiny.

Of all the things past and coming, can one of them
be you?
