Life Moves On

It flew by so very fast
March 13th 2007 a baby was born
Unaware of what her life may bring
Unaware of all the dangers of the world

Yet here I am 14 years later that baby all grown up
Could I really believe I was here for a purpose?
Or just a tiny piece of this huge universe

Surrounded by a never ending sea of space
I stare up into that dark dark sky
To see an entirely different world
A world of shining lights

Except half of that world could be dead by now
For what is shown is a just a reminder of the past
The light shown could be a reflection of that little baby girl

And innocent
Only just a light of the past
But from here it only moves forward

The clock still continues to tick
But what would it be like to freeze in time
To grab the remote control of the entire universe
And press the button to pause

It’s not like that though
It will never stop
Even in the good times
Even in the bad
