It is quiet here.
No crickets, no birds.
The wind is gone,
so are the tumbleweeds
and your soul.

It is I alone
Here to wallow in
the regretful feeling I
wish to forget and
never remember again.

But the memory of
you and I together,
seems so bright that
no strong liquor could
make me forget.

Not that I want to forget
such a sweetly bittering moment.
