A single silvery sliver of moonlight,
That slips past the frosted panes of glass,
Painting a pale portrait of the gnarled branches
That quiver in the harsh breath of winter.

A glowing beacon in a sea of dark
Offering solace in its diamond-tinged flame.
A lighthouse to travelers lost at sea,
A glimmer of hope for the ones like me.
