My Trail

The trail I want to discover is not there,
instead I must forge my own,
Down the crystal white valley of snow,
the very first tracks I leave alone.
Spiraling downwards they go,
I look back finally just to show,
I do have my feet planted deeply
in the ground.
Why else would there be tracks following me down?
