They set the credentials
And to them, you shall comply
Be deferential to the venerable they demand
Or else, you are deemed unessential
Under their coercion,
You bend and break
No prudential Shown,
"Be quintessential,"
They scream from beneath

Accusations of mythical
Expectations are denied
As they profit off your esteem
They present the pill
The cure to imperfection
Then they present a figure of plastic
And call it evidential
Be quintessential they repeat
This exigency is inferential they say
After all, in a utopian world,
Who doesn’t desire perfection?

Pills are swallowed in masses
Bottom lines rising is exponential
As more succumb to the bane
Is perfection truly existential?
