The Abandoned End

I heard the crying soul, I felt the aching heart.
Alone in the darkness, she was to part.
No one there to hold her hand, no one to kiss her face
so I came to comfort in her family's place.
Crying for her children, whispering to me,
the face of a stranger was the last she was to see.
