The Beauty Of My Blackness

“The Beauty of My Blackness”
I am a black queen with a mystique that is profound and deep.
I am amazing from the top of my crown to the bottom of my feet.
My black history exudes a rich culture that makes my spirit soar.
Encompassing a strong sense of pride that exudes from my pores.
I refuse to be invisible or held down for I demand to be free.
My beauty is undeniable although some pretend not to see.
Oh how thou wicked sins of omission make my blood run cold.
No force can dim my light for it reflects from my beautiful soul.
To all of the phenomenal little girls and boys who look like me
Self love, preservation, and worth Is what I will strive to teach
Life can be gone in an instance like the release of 12 doves
While I am here I will live, love and above all practice self love.
