Unknown Face
I look in the mirror at the face before me
The eyes so hollow and black they peer
The wrinkles the lines my life definition
Starting at my nose and the things it smelled
Wonderful creations bursting through the air
My lips oh the sweets they've touched
The ones they've kissed I've loved much
My chin has rested on shoulders so few
Conturing my face for the shadows of youth
My face whose is it? I can't remember
Some say I was kind. Some say I was sweet
Everlasting joy has been brought to me
I cannot remember the things before me
However these people around me they surely do love me
Who am I that I have such good company
I know not where my life began
I look in the mirror at the face before me
I do not know who I see
Alzheimers has taken over me
