13 Year Old Me

She sits alone; shy, insecure,
and isolated from the world around her.
She's afraid to engage in conversation among her peers
from fears of rejection.
She stands alone; no one else desires to stand beside her.
She feels shame, pity,
and contrition for the evil thoughts she keeps
inside her young developing mind filled with karmic de ja vue.
She's been here before; but,
yet her past is disparate from her future.
Her futures a bright field of gold, with blue indigo,
and rich red cherry blossoms.
She's found herself;
she's been hiding inside all along.
It took courage to find her way through
the vicious jungles,
and shark filled waters of her mind
to make it out to the green pastures
on the other side.
She is not alone.
