2 Beautiful Daughters

In that house, the one across the street
Was once the perfect family
2 beautiful daughters and their parents
And I watched as they laughed under their apple tree

I never questioned how much those 2 beautiful daughters
Were loved, surely it was enough
But one night in my own tauntings
I went outside to find the perfect family in distress

Through the window, open it was
I saw those 2 beautiful daughters crying
I got close and saw the reason for their tears
Their Mother and Father were bruised black and blue
Because of each other

This was abuse, plain and simple
How those 2 beautiful daughters must feel
To have to watch their parents commit such a sin
I watched with them
And we both saw the perfect family
Crumble to the ground
