Sunlight Devine turns into night's embrace,
running from the click in haste.
Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Boom!
As one season ends, a flower blooms.

Hopeless to crawling, getting prepared to fly.
A passing ship of youth, the darkening sky.
The breeze serene as surety turns unsure,
an early life crisis as childhood memories blur.

The glittering glow of ice in a drink,
becomes months of hell you wish to rethink.
As a quarter century passes, fear seems to pass.
Yesterday's ghosts easier to face in the looking glass.

Tears poured like rain, life struck down with a flash,
Worry which once burned bright subsides to ash.
The sky blue, the sun reflecting upon a tree.
Appreciating life is beautiful, even if you can't see.

Dawn turns to dusk in a never ending sea of days.
Snowflakes perfect for a moment, but forever never stays.
As your head lays down, embrace the dark night.
Hold tight to love past as you embark a new flight.
