5 Stages of Water

Raining,
constant attacks on my brain each carrying its own tune
wetting my resolve my walls left
as soggy cardboard weak and battered

Drowning,
resurfacing only to catch more thoughts
sinking lower into the unknown darkness of my inner workings
engulfing my body whole with pure despair

Freezing,
my chills spreading across my skin
hair standing at the edge of its root
dread fills my body until I'm one consolidated block of blue

Melting,
This block gets weaker as time wears on
desperately hoping to find something old
I latch onto the piece of warmth I felt

Boiling,
Overcompensating for health has had the reverse effect
nothing can reign in the thoughts about to explode
so I wait for them to spill over so I can repeat this anew
