5 Years

You wake up

You're cold and tired
And your stomach grumbles from not having dinner last night

Your body shivers from the cold
And you pull the rough sheet
Over your head

Outside
There are screams
But you're used to it

Another bomb. This time it could be
School
Market
Home

You get up from the ground
And stretch
Your back cracking from sleeping on gravel
Syria has always been your home
And you still love it.
5 years.
