#51

it seems so sweet,
yet earthy, sullen tones
fill my nostrils,
down my lungs
to settle near my bones

it seems so putrid
so vile, loosened
jar of which
seal was broken
careful choking
on yesteryear hazard

it seems so sweet,
that which was an innocence
bottled up deep,
but it truly was putrid,
that which was an innocence
shoved in a can
and left for me
