6:17 A.M.

May the morning alarm always be set for 6:17
To make sure I have the time to get ready.
It is not the day I fret,
It is the morning knock at 7:02.
It is you.
Knowing you're walking downstairs to come see me,
Knowing I will be the first person you see
Understanding what this means is different.
For you it is non-coherent,
But for me it is an escape from reality
47 minutes of my personal heaven
Because when 7:03 hits it ends
And we are again, just friends
But may the morning alarm always be set for 6:17
Where I am to you, as you are to me.
