9/11: The Tragedy We Faced

Clouds of what's left of the twin towers

are stalking their prey,

eating away thousands of people.

Watching people pray to the

Lord for safety is horrendous;

the towers fall and break,

as my heart drops and aches.

The pain, like a freshly sharpened

knife stabbing through my heart.

They looked like they were trapped,

trapped in a cage with steel bars,

keeping them from where they needed to go.

Trapped on a one-way trip to death.

The unbreakable wall of terror rises.

Desperate cries for help fill my head.

I'm thinking of what these people

did to deserve such cruel treatment.
