A Bellowed Howl

I miss you most at night
When I can no longer say good-bye,
And tears have ran dry
From all the widowed promises
Piled up in time.
I miss you when a shooting star skims
The black night's sky,
Imprinting broken promises
Unto my childhood heart.
I miss you.
Is nothing but a lie,
For I do not miss you at all,
But just the feeling you once left me with,
Not the pain you smothered me in.
Torn out fairy tale pages
Are the remnants of the past with you,
Torn out fairy tale pages.
Turning a sweet princess
Unto a lone wolf
With one last bellowed howl
Into the night's
Waking sound.
