A Brighter Day

Torpid hours on Parade
Shadows cast old charades
Laughing now upon their death
Luna must complete her rest
Helios roams mocking my tears
I'll have to wait as darkness nears
Hoping for the void of night
An attempt to hide all my fright
Stars will dance the twilight sky
I cry aloud and wonder why
Worst of times search for me
Can only imagine being free
Free from all the living fear
Free from all the dead revere
Souls collect around the clouds
I cherrish him to wear the shroud
The shroud of me years from now
Only than he understands how
Living his life unafraid of the day
Sleep at night and forever stay
On the path to a mans existance
Altered from mine with no resistance
Learning love and not be me
Cross the bridge than he will see
Questions answered early on
Will pave the way a brighter dawn
