A Broken Dove

I wonder if the birds cry,
If they mourn their loss of love.
Do they carry sadness through the sky,
Or lower their gaze from up above?
If they mourn their loss of love,
How can they stand to fly?
Lowering their gaze from up above,
Seems that they can't soar high.
How can they stand to fly,
When the one they loved is lost?
Seems that they can't soar high,
When it starts to frost.
When the one they love is lost,
Do they simply fade away?
When it starts to frost,
Does their sadness make them stay?
