When we were together
What could break our hearts?
Only the loss of each other
Would then make us part

For years we loved with a zeal
Only broken by one's demise
For love is eternal
A instrument in tune
Never to vanish
Lest it go dissonant

What should I then expect?
On this road ahead
Only hardship did I fear
For sickness to her ill
And left her body here
Her soul out of reach
From my calling heart

The zeal I had will never fade
It stays in my heart
Till on the day I part from this earth
And reunite with who I lost
But till I do I stay here lost
Drowning in tears
