A BROKEN PIECE OF GLASS
And she sat there - Lone and forlorn!
Her eyes looked down veiling her pain-
Her sagging shoulders benumbed in vain!
Her eyes rested at the broken pieces
Of her glass of hopes and dreams -
Before her it lay,
Her eyes robbed off their gleam!
She'd preserved it carefully,
Clean and pure-
How it slipped she wasn't sure!
"Too many pieces to be mended", said the glassblower!
"But too precious to be discarded ", thought she.
Bewildered she sat
Like a statue still -
Directionless but calm,
Life, she fathomed, was a broken piece
Of glass in one's palm!

Her dreams shatter as the shattering of the most precious glass....in pieces.... irreparable...!
