A Butterfly’s Beauty

O, to fly on the wings of a butterfly
If only I could soar so high
It seems to me there is no end
I don't want to be just on the mend

It seems I'm afraid to leave my cocoon
If only there would be a harvest moon
Maybe then I would leave my nest
In hope of finding much needed rest

Butterflies give me reason to hope
Flying free gives me sense to cope
No matter what this life may bring
Butterflies make me want to sing

The beauty of a butterfly lies in wait
Let go; Just open the gate
Fear will no longer be by your side
If you let God's love be your guide.
