A Changing Sky
The sky's a funny thing to watch,
it never stops its changing.
From black to pink to orange to blue,
the constant rearranging.
The birds that zip and zoom and fly,
oblivious I'm told,
content to fly around and 'round
evading time's fierce hold.
And have you ever stopped to see
the clouds that wander by?
Their endless shapes and sizes roam
across the changing sky.
But me, I lay and watch and lis'n
to colors, birds, and sounds,
and wonder if they're wondering
why I am still around.
