A child\’s imagination

The waves in the ocean splash and tumble
They ripple and crumble into our canoe that drifts
The tide pulls us closer to the shore
And the waves crash around us once more
We grab our things as we get out of the canoe
Then we pause in awe to enjoy the lovely view
The ocean is great as we see the huge tide
Our canoe floats away leaving us without a ride
We stand there wondering what to do
We have now lost our faithful canoe
Then we hear our mother call, "Its almost time to go"
And the image of the ocean turns back into the snow
In the house our coats and hats we hang
As we get ready, we wonder what tomorrow will bring
