A Cruel Palette

The domino falls and
The grey pops out
The light abuses your tender skin the way
The truth robbed the power right out of your eyes
Unlike a thief that strolls between the shadows
Making sure to never touch the polar ends

The game plays you for a fool and beats you outright in court
The pen writes its own story, and holds nothing back

The grey pops out
and leaves a stain
