A Cup of Raindrops

My thoughts are like a storm
They're swirling in my head
They're all pouring down
And I'm trying to catch every drop
In this little plastic cup
I know it's pointless; I know I cant
but I'm still trying
Then maybe if I catch them
I can over-analyze each one
And I can know the way I'm thinking
But I know deep inside that I don't
Want to catch the raindrops
Because I know flowers only grow
If they are watered
I don't want to think because I feel
And I can't let this end
I know these drops will fall
And when it passes it may be gray
Or a beautiful blue day
And i cannot change
Anything
That's why I only brought a cup
To try to catch these raindrops
