A Dance to Love

Will you dance away the night
in my arms?
For, being with you is my delight.

Let's symbolize the faithful years
of sticking together
through good and bad, through joy and tears.

It was more than I could expect,
our endless love,
strong each year and stronger the next.

Yet, we're here dancing tonight
due to lasting charm,
and dancing with you is my delight.

Forever is the time I'd spend
to make sure this dance never ends.

This Poems Story

I deeply enjoy both reading and writing poetry. In fact, that's the exact order in which it happened when I was about ten years old. I began reading poetry and instantly fell in love with rhyming. I grew up the oldest of two siblings, raised by a loving mother and busy father. When writing poetry, I often imagine the scenarios that I describe, such as being married to a loyal spouse for many years. As one of Jehovah's witnesses, I also base some ideas off of principles recorded in the Bible.
