A Daughter’s Drunken Pain

A daughter's drunken pain
A lover's fallen rain
Tears deep into my soul
So I lay my body to hold

I hold on to every breath
I walk up every step
I kiss a possible prince
In return I get more tense

My eyes water from the question why
I pray to God that he hears his daughter's cry
That he takes this pain away
And turns my haters into prey

My feet drench with numerous beginnings
Relationships with numerous beings
Wondering if my heart is empty
From the life I breathe within the enemy

So as I lay me down to sleep
I pray to lord my soul to keep
To help me wash my sins away
And forgive a daughter's drunken pain
