A Day

A lifetime is but only a day.
For some, love & an endless summer.
A melody.
While for others, a bitter cold & lonely winter.
A tragedy.
She is the most beautiful dawn.
The most precious delicate flower.
She is all that I see, all that I am, & all that I will ever be.
My everything.
The season has now changed, my summer departed.
She gave me all that she would.
A love gone bad.
There is no sun, no moon.
No song, no feeling....nothing.
I know someday she'll have a beautiful life.
She'll be the sun for someone else.
I just wish it could be mine.
I still hold your fire of our love, tightly.
Deep inside.
Though cold, it is here for you to rekindle.
