A Devil Inside Of Me

My soul is black.
My blood is red.
My thoughts haunt me
As I lay in bed.
I drift to sleep,
And the voices return,
“To hell you go!
Burn, Burn, Burn!”
I smell the smoke.
I choke on the air.
I feel the creatures
Pull my hair.
My mind is twisting.
My stomach is turning.
And deep inside,
My soul is burning.
I scream for help,
But they brand me insane.
I gasp for air,
To relieve the pain.
I hear his voice say,
“Are you ready to die?”
I shake my head yes,
And whisper my good byes.
He yanks on my arms,
And I start to cry.
As I wait for my life,
To finally die.
