A Dream

I dreamt I was anxiously waiting for you.
It was hot, it was summer,
but I was trying to warm up my hands.
And there you were.
I thought of a thousand things to say,
of a thousand ways to impress you,
and finally decided to be myself
and confess my love for you.
Then I dreamt,
that in an unregretful turn of events,
you told me you felt the same way about me.
Then I kept on dreaming
as we lost ourselves in an eternal kiss.
