A FAINT MEMORY

If only eyes could speak
The way my heart feels for you
All those days that we had spent together
In the embrace of each other
Those fights over who will make dinner
And if not who will pay the bill
Those silly limericks and one-liner
Which make me laugh so hard….
All those times when you were with me
Even when no one was with me
Now when you are gone
Those times seem like a faint memory
When I see you wrapped in a tricolor
Nothing makes me feel happier
You sacrificed your life for the thing
That you loved more than me.
