A Fall Since Not Forgotten

The words left tasted on my lips
soft and elegant
have always since been remembered.

The fire burned on the ground
and in the trees
clouds appeared as soft as the touch,
you once gave me.

The ice in your eyes were crisp
bluer than the sky
I lost myself in them many a time.

Your smile went from side to side
and it was my heart that captured the
beauty and the love
I once I had dreamed.

And it was you,
who set me free
even though It was time.

I remember clearly
the kiss you left on my cheek,
rough and stubbly and yet
soft at touch.

We had a joyful time
and it still
is a fall not forgotten.
