A Father from Above

Your love lingers in my mind
Denying you are with me I cannot,
I know I will no longer
Be held by your fatherly embrace,
Or kissed with your kindness
The sun will always remind me of your
Smiling face
Your disciplining voice and calming
Lullaby whispering in the wind
My ear longing to hear
"Hey my little boo" again
Piggy tales and Barbie dolls
A thing of the past
A father above, a daughter below
Not Heaven nor Earth
Can cure the soul
My love will keep our bond
Until we meet again
