A few words

I come in like a calm breeze
Just enough to cool you off
To make you feel good for a second
The breeze that almost makes you feel like you could fly

But I swiftly become a strong wind
The kind of wind that makes you want to stay inside
This is the wind that makes it difficult to breathe
The wind that chaps your lips and nose
Making you sick

From there, I become a tornado
Or maybe a hurricane
It’s no longer as innocent as chapped lips
After I’ve come through
You have no home

It isn’t as if I meant to destroy you
My intentions were not to take your home from you
My intentions were to build a bigger one with you

The problem was never you
The problem was me
And to that, I apologize
For all I have to offer you
Are these few words
