A fifteen-year old’s perspective of Covid 19

By

The clock is ticking on the wall
but the days seem to pass so slow
I have to stay inside again
can't see my best friend Joe.
My baseball team can't go and play
but I worked so hard to be
the best player on the team
now no one can come and see.
The teacher is staring back at me
but it's not me she sees
She's talking to a camera lens
for us to hear her pleas
My dad's a first responder
and now he can't come home
They say it's because of Covid
all he can do is phone
I hope things go back to normal
or whatever that used to be
I miss my baseball and my friends
if anyone should ask me
