A Fleeting Mind

She's caught up in so many things,
that she can't even come to see
that she's lost sight of her being.
She's hurting.

She gives herself to everyone,
only with eyes seeking what she wants,
her needs are prioritized all wrong.
She's falling.

She's so caught up in her mind,
her thoughts keep racing all the time,
she can't seem to find ease from the strife.
She's drowning.

She knows no source of lasting escape,
more money, more people, nothing will stay,
She decides anything and everything just falls away.
She's fading.

It's like the cycle is forever spinning,
Everyone coming and going, always just visiting.
She knows it now, that no one remains,
Even her mind has fleeted away.
