A Flower, Bloomed

A flower, it blooms
A blossom nobody has ever seen
And it hides
The blossom hides
Afraid it isn't good enough
Its beauty is not enough, it thinks
No beauty can measure up to the rose
Or the lily
Or the cosmo
So the blossom stayed hidden
It hid for so long, its beauty began to fade
And each petal fell
Away from what it was
To what the world had made it
