A Fool’s Game

On top rests the king's riches
On bottom lies the joker's smile
In the middle lies random fortune
A place where the number eleven is forgotten
A place where a lie is accepted
At the table wondering eyes drift left and right
Landing on the key to victory
A game in which one truly clever could never win
On the table revealed the two diamonds of a glutton
The four clovers of the lucky
And the single ace's heart of a meager
For in the joker's playground
A fool beats a king everytime
